Working with refined white clay prized for its smooth texture and natural brightness, the maalem (master craftsman) guides a simple ball of earth into form on the potter’s wheel.
Once shaped, the basin is left to dry slowly under open Moroccan air before its first firing, a stage that strengthens the clay and prepares it for decoration. The surface is then hand-painted with traditional motifs, each line applied with calm precision and a practiced eye — the purity of the white clay allowing every detail to stand out with clarity.

Really beautiful sink, exactly as pictured. Makes the bathroom look wonderful! The seller was really responsive and was even able to get the parcel sent out quickly when I asked if it could be delivered by a specific date.
